Girls can ride bikes???

Nina Buitrago Smith grinds the big ledge at TRP.

So the WOF (Women of Freestyle) jam went down this past weekend at TRP and the turn out was great. Girls (and guys) traveled from Tx, Pa, Ma, In, Ny, Co, Oh, and even Mi to hang out and ride with the ladies.

I heard a few guys before the jam make comments about girls not really being any good at riding and they could not have been more wrong. All the WOF ladies are incredible rides as well as a lot of fun.  If you ever get a chance to ride / hang out with any of them take advantage of it because they will probably teach you a thing or two.  Below are some of the photos I shot. Sam Slappi came all the way from the Chicago area to do MX whips and to try to pick up chicks.

Afro Pat once went on a WOF tour.  He was the only guy with like 8 pro girl riders. I bet he was humbled.

Danger Debbie (lady friend of Danger Dave) may not be able to do nothings like her boyfriend but I bet if she wanted to she could kick his ASS! Here she does her best DJ Danger Debbie.

Rose can do more than just jump. and yes....she did do the roll back.

Greg Dickson of BMX Board fame claims he had the biggest boobs at the jam and I don't think he was ripping on the ladies.

Hanan Saab is the better half of the BUC family...kidding....her and her boyfriend (we call him BUC because he looks just like Gary Busse) are some of the nicest people in BMX.

Jessica Ausec did her first pegstall on a subrail at the jam. I bet the green Animal pedals gave her the power.

White girls can jump! Later in the day Nina went over the bars doing a feeble to smith down a good size ledge and dislocated her shoulder.  I had to pop it back in place.  I think it hurt me more than it hurt her. Nina is no joke.

The girls stopped by Albe's to have their photo shot with Turbo.  I'm not sure how he does it but girls just want to be around him.

I was excited to see Stacy Mulligan ride but she got hurt kind quick so the only photo I have of her was when they came to Albe's. I did find an old photo John from Albe's shot of Stacy getting loaded a few months back in England.  Click here to check it out.

while Nina and Stacey (and probably a few others, as a result of the first two getting angry about being hurt) were adding to their injury collection, I was at home sleeping in a nice warm bed reading Jane Fonda's autobiography...stupid Nixon. although sad I wasn't there, I did save a couple hundred bucks, plus whatever hospital bills might have occured. that's right..who's the smart one now!?

damn i havent scine nina sence her superstardom, i guess your still up to kicking your own ass pretty well :). i was around for a couple of good ones that would have had me crying like a baby ;).

here i was on task working the mirra ledge. its the one of those thats easy to get on(8") but long tall at the end (3.5') and has taken a couple of people out lovley. it was in the pre animal video (dqydj)i think , the acual and some nyc scine stuff.

then nina rols up and takes to it ,good take off, beautiful slide and then wham,pretty fucking solid face plant lol. what made that diffrent form all the many other ones, probly in the exact same spot was she got up and pulled it 5 mins later like nothing happined.

damn those were good times, time flys too fast. your 18 then you post old sounding nostolgic storys on bmx forums lol
