Props Roadfools 15 was here in the Detroit area the past few days. They rode some street in Ann Arbor for a few mins. They came here to Albe's for a BBQ and beacause Seth Kimbrough and Steven Lilly needed parts (yes...Shad Johnson used the Goods BMX credit card to buy stuff here) and they completely destroyed the Modern park last night. Our Boy Dane Wild was with them most of the time they were in Michigan so click below to read his story and see some photos.
Since i was 13, i used to always watch all the old Road Fools, and i
couldnt wait for the next one to happen. Well, in these last few days
i got to experience a few days with the Road Fools crew here in
Detroit. Must say, one of the best things ever so far. The crew was
amazing, although i've met and hung out with most of all of them, it
was nice to see them all again. I ran into them in Ann Arbor, where
they had already been hassled a few times. Then we over heard that
Chester Blacksmith mooned an off duty officer and offically got BMX
clicked out of Ann Arbor.(haha, its all good Chester, we still love
ya) That night Seth Kimbrough, Walter P, Rob D, Brandon H, Garvock,
and I attempted to ride more street, but were quickly shut down by a
cop asking if we were apart of the group who had mooned a cop earlier
that day.(they had been searching for us the whole day.) After that
we got back to the hotel and i happened to stay in Walter's room.
Next day, we headed up to Albe's, and had us a good ole BBQ headed by
Ryan Sher. Albe's supplied the food and beer and Sher supplyed the cookery.
Everyone ate and had a good time, enjoying the awesome
vibes of Albe's. Sparks was called up, and we met them at the Tranny
Walls(as seen in the System Cycle video). Everyone was cleaning house
there, with big carves and other various stunts. A lady came out and
called the cops, and everyone freaked, until we let them know that it
wouldnt be an hour or so till a cop actually showed up. To their
disbelief, it was about an hour till a cop actually showed up, and
allowed Chester to do an amazing icepick on the second story window of
the wall, and then told us we had to leave. Detroit cops dont show unless
its a gun shooting or drug bust, love it. Modern was next, great skatepark.
At first things were pretty mellow, flowy trains and such, which was awesome
to watch. The whole crew just decided that Modern wasnt worthy and
torn the ramps completely down. I would tell you some details, but
that would just ruin it, let me just name some names to watch out
for. Seth Kimbrough, Chase Hawk, Mike Aitken, Tony C, Cameron Wood,
Josh Harrington, Eric Holley, and fuck, well, the rest of the god
damn crew. Complete destruction. We parted ways, after that night.
Then the next day, i showed back up to show them around some more,
but the guys decided that Michigan weather was going to remain crap, and
decided to head out. I said my byes and good ways with the crew, and
sent them on their way. All i can really sum up and say is, This was
a childhood dream come true, getting to ride in the bus(and sleeping
in it..haha)hanging out, and seeing all the things you dont get to
see in the videos, all i must say is, when this DVD comes out, GET IT!

I had Turbo run out and get burgers and dogs (meated and meatless) for Ryan Sher to grill up for the crew.
Ryan said the trick to making a good burger is to drink beer while doing it.
Yes...it's true. Catfish bought a tattoo gun off e-bay and had it shipped here to Albe's so he could have it on the trip. No...Catfish has no clue how to use it. Yes....he will probably start a new outbreak of Hepatitis B--MX.
Cameron Wood's new signature FBM??
Crandal is scary when he's hungry
Aaron Ross hurt his shoulder early on the trip but didn't lose his ability to pose with Flip and make his signature funny face.
Chase Hawk fell and hit his head and was seeing double Crandals. Scary!
Gary Young is a very nice fellow. If you ever get a chance to meet him you'll be a better person.
Josh Harrington is one of my new favorite riders. This photo makes it look like he did a wall ride to barspin but he really downside double peg ground the sub to barspin off. AMAZING! Shad Johnson is super cool and puts up with a lot of shit.
Mike Aitken not only jumped the big hip at the Modern park that only a handful of people have he was doing 270's over it. This is VERY far. Just wait for the video or the professional photos that were shot of it. In other Mikey news he got a call today at 7am saying his wife went into labor and is on his way home right now..congrats Mikey!!
till next time,

It looks like flip and the albes crew came through once again showing out of town visitors all the hot spots to ride in the mitten. You guys are on top of your game and really know what's going on. NOT!

wow. I sense sarcasm in the post above. sounds like somebody thinks that the roadfools guys didn't ride enough stuff in the "mitten". Sorry but this was not mine, albe's or anybody else's around's here fault. The weather screwed them. they didn't want to ride parks and the rain kept them from riding street and trails. since when am i head of roadfools?? did you see me on the trip?? maybe look into details more before you go pointing fingers.

"once again"? yeah, it seems like every time Road Fools is in Michigan the Albe's guys screw up and don't take them to cool spots. oh wait, Road Fools has never been to Michigan and if they were they would drive thier own bus to where ever they wanted to go. like this time when they wanted to hang out at Albe's for a bar-b-que then left to go where ever thay wanted.

actually, bud, i went out to show them places, when we all got together, it rained, from wendesday afternoon up until they left, so big ups to you for how well you know what actually happened, next time, you probably should as "why?" instead of automaticly assuming that we didnt show them anything.

trust me, they wanted to find stuff, but the weather put a damper on that. We waited for two hours in a parking garage in ann arbor trying to wait out the rain, and once it did stop, the police showed up and politely asked us to leave. It was seriously a matter of bad timing.
