So I just got off the phone with CRU FRICKIN' JONES!!!! Yes….the REAL Cru Jones! Well really it was Bill Allen who played Cru in the movie RAD. We have been in contact a bit lately and he's open to answering any questions you guys may have about RAD the movie, his involvement in BMX, a sequel (yes….a sequel), life after the movie or anything else you may want to know about Bill Allen / Cru Jones.
- Please e-mail all questions to BILLisRAD@albes.com
- Please list your name and where you are from in your e-mail.
PLEASE DO NOT post your questions in the comments area. Use the comments to let people know if you have seen RAD and how you feel about it.
- After a few days I’ll post Cru’s (Bill’s) answers for all to read.
Get Strange!

My question for Bill is... When did you know the impact "RAD" had on the BMX Community and what does it feel like knowing you are in a movie that has been the most requested, most downloaded and most sold over the internet to date?

I have just another question, LOL ...... While filming the movie "RAD" did you have a personal coach on riding and if so..did you walk away from the movie with an urge to want to ride even after filming?

The movie "RAD" launched many and most careers in BMX today and continues till this day bringing new and old generation together. When you're out and about.. do you get the ocassional "Hey you're Cru Jones" and when you do are you told that you are the reason, if not the major reason why someone started riding BMX?

While filming the movie "RAD" what was the most difficult scene to shoot and what was your most favorite scene while filming?
Oh yeah! Did that scene involve a bicycle? LOL
